Learn to save on your energy bill, learn about Seattle’s electrification strategy, meet our outing leaders & propose an idea for an outing or event!
This community workshop will help you understand where your energy goes and how to keep more money in your pocket. You’ll learn about:
- Your utility bill, why it costs that much, and what you can do about it
- Utility discount and assistance programs and if you qualify
- Ways to make your home or apartment more energy efficient
- Electric vehicles, chargers, and how to engage with the city
- How Seattle’s electrification strategy could benefit you
You’ll also get to meet some of the Latino Outdoors – Seattle team, ask your questions directly, and share ideas for future outings and community events. Come through and bring your friends!
Who: Open to everyone — renters, homeowners, and small business owners in the community. Free and family-friendly.
What: An energy-savings and electrification workshop and meet the LO – Seattle team. There will be food.

For this event, Latino Outdoors – Seattle is partnering with Kambo Energy Group, a social enterprise working on behalf of Seattle City Light to raise awareness about utility discount programs, energy saving practices, and Seattle’s electrification strategy.

Este taller comunitario te ayudará a entender de donde viene la energía y el contenido de tu cuenta de luz. También aprenderás sobre:
- Tu factura de servicios, por qué cuesta lo que cuesta y qué puedes hacer al respecto
- Programas de descuento y de ayuda con los servicios públicos, y si calificas
- Formas de hacer tu casa o apartamento más eficiente
- Vehículos eléctricos, cargadores y cómo participar con la ciudad
- Cómo la estrategia de electrificación de Seattle te puede beneficiar
También podrás conocer a parte del equipo de Latino Outdoors – Seattle y compartir ideas para futuros eventos comunitarios. ¡Invita a tus amigos y amigas!
