FAQs

Q: Where can I get a Latino Outdoors t-shirt?

A: Here!

Q: Can you tell me more about your programs?

A: Visit the Our Programs  section and dropdown menu on our website to learn more about Latino Outdoors and our programs.

Q: Are there any Latino Outdoors activities happening near me?

A: Visit our Outings & Events page for information about upcoming activities.

Q: Can I volunteer?

A: At Latino Outdoors, we invest a considerable amount of time and attention to the growth and development of our volunteers, particularly newer ones. For this reason, we only expand when we have the capacity to fully support new leaders. Nevertheless, we invite you to complete the Latino Outdoors Volunteer Application to be added to the waitlist. Applications are reviewed as time and resources permit.

Q: My program wants to reach more Latinos/be more diverse and/or culturally relevant/support outdoor equity. Can we partner with Latino Outdoors?

A: Latino Outdoors’ national support staff is small and unfortunately, we do not have sufficient bandwidth to foster and maintain community outreach and programming partnerships in geographic regions where we are not also supported by on-the-ground volunteers. The opportunity to join Latino Outdoors’ national volunteer network is open to anyone who believes in our mission and shares our vision. If you know someone who might be a good fit and is interested, feel free to direct them to this FAQ page, where they will find a link to our volunteer application, which is the first step in the process. We also recommend investing in cultural relevancy trainings for your organization.

Q: How can my company or organization invite someone from Latino Outdoors to speak at an event, provide input on our DEI efforts, or support a related initiative of ours?

A: Please email us at info@latinooutdoors.org with your request.  In your message, tell us about the nature of the event or initiative, date, location, format, and scope of work/engagement.  If there is a particular member of our volunteer network, Board, or staff that your invitation is intended for, specify that in your email.  Please also include any information about honoraria or other compensation for speakers/participants.
