Thinking about joining our upcoming backpacking campout or just want to learn how to get started? Join Latino Outdoors San Antonio for a hands-on workshop focused on everything you need to know about backpacking packs!
This session is strongly encouraged for Campout applicants, but is open to anyone interested in learning backpacking basics.
During this workshop, you’ll learn:
- How to choose the right backpacking pack for your needs
Key differences between pack types, sizes, and popular brands How to properly pack your backpack for comfort and efficiency - How to adjust and wear your pack safely to prevent strain or injury
- What to look for when trying on or purchasing a backpack
Bonus: Staff from REI will be on-site to provide professional pack fittings so you can find your correct size and get personalized guidance.
Whether you’re preparing for your first trip or just want to build confidence with your gear, this workshop will give you the foundation you need to hit the trail comfortably and safely.
