Join Latino Outdoors New Mexico for a special fall visit to the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve! We’ll enjoy a private guided tour of the preserve, learning more about this unique wetland ecosystem, its plants and wildlife, and the history of the area while taking in the changing colors of the season.
Our guided walk will cover approximately 1 mile over about 1.5 hours, with plenty of stops along the way to learn, look around, and enjoy the landscape. We’ll move at a leisurely pace—this is more about exploring and experiencing the preserve together than covering lots of miles!

- Layers appropriate for the weather
- Sun protection
- Binoculars or a camera, if you’d like

Admission to El Rancho de las Golondrinas is included with this event! After our guided walk, participants are welcome to visit the historic site and continue exploring on their own at no additional cost.
This outing is open to all experience levels and ages, however, the terrain of the walking trail is not stroller-friendly.
