Join us for a walk over the Oceano Dunes to learn and explore this fascinating habitat along our coast.

Join us during Latino Conservation Week as we walk across the Oceano Dunes Preserve to the shoreline to learn about this unique habitat and ways to conserve it. Conservation begins by connecting with nature and the land. Let’s get to know the Oceano Dunes Preserve.

Directions to meeting location: In Oceano, travel south on 22nd Street across the train tracks and make an immediate right on Silver Spur Place. Drive to the end of the road where you’ll see the Pacific Dunes Ranch Campground. Park in the lot prior to the RV park entrance. As a group we will walk through the RV park to the access point for the dunes.

What to wear and bring: Wear good walking shoes to traverse the sand dunes, bring a hat and a light weight jacket, wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle and binoculars if you have them.

Únese a nosotros durante la Semana Latina de la Conservación mientras caminamos por la Reserva de Dunas de Oceano hasta la costa para aprender sobre este hábitat único y cómo conservarlo. Indicaciones para llegar al punto de encuentro: En Oceano, dirígete al sur por la Calle 22, cruza las vías del tren e inmediatamente gira a la derecha en Silver Spur Place. Conduce hasta el final de la calle, donde verás el Campamento Pacific Dunes Ranch. Estaciona en el estacionamiento antes de la entrada al parque de casas rodantes. En grupo, caminaremos por el parque de casas rodantes hasta el punto de acceso a las dunas.

Qué llevar: Usa calzado cómodo para caminar por las dunas, lleva un sombrero y una chaqueta ligera, protector solar, una botella de agua y binoculares si los tienes.
