Volunteer with us to take care of the land and learn more about pollinators, wildlife, edible plants, and so much more!
Join LO Volunteer Leader & Riverside Park Steward, Stephanie Caban, for a morning at Fort Washington Park! Mulberries and Serviceberries are fruiting in the area so we’ll chat about these important species as well as learn about the pollinators in the area and the ways that nature in public spaces contribute to our wellbeing! Then, we’ll spend time weeding and removing introduced species with loppers and shovels, and mulching down the area to prepare for Fall planting.
Snacks provided! And, particpants will be entered into a raffle to win a hardcopy of The Serviceberry!
Beginners are welcome, and this is a great opportunity for those looking to enjoy their Summer Fridays outside doing some good for the land! All participants must be 18 years old or older.
RSVP is required!
