Salary: $5,501.00 – $7,400.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:
As a Rural Broadband Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our mission to expand broadband access in rural areas. Your expertise in project coordination, contract oversight, and commitment to helping maintain a strong state lands communication site infrastructure to support rural communities will be instrumental in being successful.

Required Qualifications: 

-Bachelor’s degree in forest, civil, or structural engineering or related fields AND 3 years of practical experience and demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and principles; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
-Familiarity with modern construction methodologies, industry best practices, and standards for quality, safety, and efficiency in construction projects.
-Experience with construction techniques and principles. Compliance with projects such as full-design road construction, bridge or culvert installation, or other structural construction projects.
-Microsoft Word and Excel, GIS-based systems, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
 

Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment:

-The position requires a large majority (60%) of time in the field traveling alone, or with one or two other staff, between sites in the division; may also be required to travel within the state with overnight stays.
-A current, valid driver’s license and two years of driving experience. Additionally, DNR requires state drivers to possess a license that is not suspended, revoked, or restricted (for example, Occupational/Restricted Driver Licenses or requiring ignition interlock devices). -This position requires driving as an essential function. Finalists and/or interview candidates will be asked to provide a driving record from all states in which they have held a license during the past three years.

-Experience in general infrastructure projects, knowledge of relevant regulations and policies, demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement, proficiency in project management tools and systems, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
