Celebrate the arrival of summer by making cyanotype prints under the sun.

Join Latino Outdoors San Diego in celebrating the longest days of the year. This event will be outdoors in a public space. We will have a pizza party and make cyanotype prints. What is cyanotype? Cyanotype is the earliest version of photography that creates images by laying objects on a chemical-treated sheet then exposing them to UV light. The exposed parts of the sheet react by turning blue. LOSD will provide the sheets and we will collect plants from our surroundings.

This event is free and in service to our gente but RSVP through eventbrite is required. You may be turned away if we exceed capacity and did not RSVP. Signing the waiver does not qualify as registration. More information will be provided to ticketholders.

Latino Outdoors activities are free and in service to our communities. Acompañe Latino Outdoors San Diego para celebrar los diás más largos del año. Este evento sera afuera en un espacio publico. Disfrutaremos de una fiesta de pizza y realizaremos impresiones en cianotipia. ¿Qué es la cianotipia? Es una de las primeras formas de fotografía; crea imágenes colocando objetos sobre una hoja tratada con productos químicos y exponiéndola después a la luz UV. Las zonas expuestas de la hoja reaccionan volviéndose azules. LOSD proporcionará las hojas y recogeremos plantas de los alrededores.

Más detalles y local exacto seran compartidos con gente que tenga reservación. Aviso sensorial: habrá ruido debido a aviones que sobrevuelan en la zona.
