Celebrate PRIDE and Juneteenth with Latino Outdoors at The People’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park!
OVERVIEW
Celebrate PRIDE and Juneteenth with us at The People’s Beach at Jacob Riis Park, a Gateway National Recreation Area! Pack your sun screen and your fav book on joy/liberation! We’ll chat about community power and what you’re reading while enjoying a breakfast of fruit and rainbow bagels by community member, Kevin Pugh! Enjoy some downtime together as well as a sand sculpture building contest, spikeball, and all the lovely beach vibes the day has to offer.
There’s a $20 parking lot available nearby and the beach is also accessible by the Q35 and QM16 buses as well.
All ages are welcome–bring the fam! RSVP required for those who’d like to enjoy some free grub! DUPLICATE/INCOMPLETE RSVPS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RETURNED.
