Celebrate Latine Heritage Month with Latino Outdoors NYC and The Nature Conservancy of New Jersey!
Rock you country’s colors and/or jersey for this 4ish mile hike! If you can, bring a snack from your country to share with the group at the summit–snackies with a view? Count us in!
A shuttle bus to/from Manhattan and the trailhead are provided!
This event is FREE but RSVP is required. Duplicate and/or incomplete RSVPs will be automatically declined.
All ages are welcome!
Waivers:
In order to participate, it is required to complete the following waivers. We will provide hard copies to sign on the bus/trailhead.
Itinerary:
8:45am – Meet at Central Park North and check in
9am – Bus departs on time, no expections
10:30am – Hike High Mountain Park Preserve
3pm – Depart High Mountain Park Preserve
4:30pm – Return to Central Park North
What to pack:
- Wear comfortable, sweat wicking clothing that you’re okay moving and sweating in. We recommend long, light layers, including a rain jacket, to support the changing mountain weather and to mitigrate risks against ticks.
- Hiking boots or sneakers with good traction
- Sun block, sun glasses, hat
- Bug spray
- 2 water bottles
- Your own lunch and snacks
- Cultural snacks to share (optional & in celebration of Latine Heritage Month)
