WHEN
The 2026 Latino Conservation Week Photo Contest will be open for submissions from Thursday, August 13 at 12 PM Pacific until Sunday, September 20 at 11:59 PM Pacific.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE
Todos are welcome to participate, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, ability, language, and nationality.
WHAT TO ENTER
For 2026, Latino Outdoors invites photos that support the LCW annual theme: rooted in nature, thriving in community. This year, we are focusing on the idea that conservation is about protecting landscapes and strengthening the bonds between people and nature. What role does nature play in the health of our communities? How is nature a source of resilience, belonging, and tradition within Latine communities?
Entries will be evaluated based on photo composition, creativity, as well as the storytelling impact of your caption.
HOW TO ENTER:
Each participant may submit up to three photographs using the Photo Contest Submission Form. Please complete one form per photo. Each photo entry must also include a Photo Release Form.
REQUIREMENTS:
Participants must follow Recreate Responsibly safety guidelines. Each photo submission must be uploaded through the Submission Form and must include a land acknowledgement and Photo Release Form.
No AI generated or altered images will be accepted.
DISPLAY AND FUTURE USE RIGHTS:
By submitting an entry to the contest, the submitter warrants they are authorized to and does so grant Latino Outdoors and Hispanic Access Foundation full and perpetual rights to use the submitted photograph, including the likeness of any individuals appearing within it, in promotional publications and other media, without compensation. The photographs submitted will be used to advance the mission and vision of each organization.
VOTING CRITERIA:
Photos will be evaluated based on photo composition, creativity, impact, and the story your caption tells.

2nd Place: $500 + SANDMARC Binoculars
3rd Place: $300 + SANDMARC Headlamp
4th Place: $200 + SANDMARC Headlamp
