Adrianna Alejo Sorondo is a mixed media artist and mamá from the Central Valley of California, currently living in San Francisco. Her work often includes her love and respect for nature and bright, bold colors that represent her Mexica heritage. Alejo-Sorondo’s playful art pieces contain a blend of fresh plants, fruits, and other natural materials, mixed with repurposed items like cardboard and plastics. For Somos Semillitas y Crecemos Outdoors, she wanted to incorporate their shared value of leaving outdoor spaces cleaner than we find them. The use of cardboard for the cover highlights how we can recycle found materials and create something beautiful from them.
