Did you know? Providing Latine youth with increased opportunities to connect with the outdoors and access to leadership spaces can help them develop their own leadership abilities. Our annual, weeklong Semillitas Outdoors celebration of Latine children in the outdoors provides virtual conversations and in-person outings and events that center the experience of Latinx children and their families. Through LO’s three interconnected programs, we support and celebrate children’s access to the outdoors and leadership space and build positive connections to the process of getting outside with our youth.

Join us in 2025 for another week of Semillitas Outdoors beginning Saturday, April 26 through Sunday, May 4.

20 of our regional teams led nearly 40 Semillitas Outdoors outings—each so unique—including at least thirteen kinds of activities, from birding to Pokémon Go-ing, from arts & crafts to indoor rock climbing.
