Hike: 1.5-mile hike on muddy, uneven terrain with 225 ft. elevation
Description: ¡Es esa época del año otra vez! Join us as we search for these amazing salamandras. We will explore their habitat and learn about their amorous adventures y adaptaciones.
Important Notes:
- All children must be accompanied by a registered adult participant.
- Please be prepared for wilderness conditions, as there will be no cell service at the park.
- The trail may be muddy and wet, so I recommend wearing tall rain boots or an old pair of sneakers that you don’t mind getting muddy.
- Dress in layers so you are comfortable for variable weather.
- Be sure to bring your own water, as the park’s water supply is inconsistent.
- While we can’t guarantee newt sightings, we’ll be learning plenty about these fascinating creatures!
