Join Latino Outdoors & Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District for our Introduction to Backpacking virtual event.

Join Latino Outdoors: San Francisco Bay Area team and Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District for our Introduction to Backpacking online event. We will premiere a “Beginners Backpacking” video created by Latino Outdoors volunteer leaders and follow with a panel discussion and Q&A. We will share how we planned and researched to prepare for our trip, the process of packing and setting up our gear, and our lessons learned.

Backpacking is an adventure that combines hiking with backcountry camping. As a beginner backpacker it may all seem a little too complicated and overwhelming. We will go over the basics on getting started, share our own experiences, and provide tips and resources to help plan your next or first backpacking trip.

When: Wednesday, May 26th at 5pm PT.
