Join Rachel Clark for a relaxing and informative bird watching and nature walk along the Kings River.
We will meet across the bridge at a dirt parking lot to the left of the road. I will be holding up a Latino Outdoors flag. We will then walk across the road to the trail making several stops and also walk on paths that are not marked off as trails. Path is flat and relatively easy and accessible for all ages. If time is permitted, we will drive to Edison Point to bird watch and get a great view of Pine Flat Lake.
Tips: bring comfortable clothing approprite for the weather (I will postpone if there is rain in the forecast), wear closed toed walking shoes, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, bird guide (I’ll bring a copy) and binoculars. (LO will provide binoculars if you do not have any.)

We’ll provide breakfast burritos, snacks and other refreshments for everyone.
Pit toilets will be located at the trailhead. I’ll provide hand sanitizer and TP.
Cell service is limited.
Parking is potentially limited so if anyone is interested in carpooling, I will be at the Fowler Park and Ride (1001N N Fowler Ave, Fresno, CA 93727) at 7:30am. I can only take a maximum of 4 people in my car and all participants must be 18 or older.
All participants must sign a waiver before attending. I will send an email with more details as we get closer to our event.
Latino Outdoors activities are free and in service to our communities. Our volunteer leaders donate time and energy to plan these experiences, paying close attention to the number of people each event can accommodate.
