The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (WA DNR) is on the lookout for an IT Business Analyst – Journey. This pivotal role is your chance to leverage advanced business analysis skills and product and program management expertise to drive meaningful initiatives.

As the driving force behind the analysis and deployment of technology solutions, you’ll take the lead on projects from end-to-end. Your responsibilities will span from gathering intricate business requirements to evaluating cutting-edge technology solutions and guiding their integration across the organization. Your input will be crucial in projects that might range from developing digital tools for environmental monitoring to creating systems that enhance resource management efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology AND four (4) years of relevant experience in information technology. OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience relevant to this position.
  • Experience consulting, analyzing designing, programming installing and /or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment directing projects, providing customer or technical support in information technology.
  • Experience completing projects successfully as an IT Business Analyst and understanding industry standard project management principles and practices

  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.
