Duties

Additional Information:

Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately May through March, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.

Major Duties:

Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds.
Perform minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures.
Perform minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Construct, install, repair and replace such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed.
Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures, and report discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
May perform other duties such as painting equipment, masonry work, roofing, welding or assisting higher grade worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
Operate a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
