Take on a leadership role as a Supervisory Park Ranger at Grand Canyon National Park! Both positions involves first-level supervision of permanent and seasonal law enforcement rangers, ensuring the safety of visitors and the protection of park resources in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of law enforcement rangers, including scheduling, leave approval, training, incident report review, performance appraisals, and handling conduct issues.
- Conduct and oversee criminal investigations, custodial arrests, warrant preparation, witness interviews, and suspect detention.
- Lead all-hazard operations, including law enforcement, search and rescue, and emergency response.
- Perform full-range law enforcement duties as a Type 1 LEO, including emergency medical care at the EMT level or higher.
- Handle collateral duties such as technical rescue, fire-fighting, helicopter rescue, and small vessel operations.
