Join us on Sunday, April 28th at 10am for a City Nature Challenge hike at St Joseph’s Hill!

Join us on Sunday, April 28th at 10am for a Nature Exploration Walk at St Joseph’s Hill Preserve with our partners at Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District. We will explore the preserve and make frequent stops to make observations of the plants and animals we find along the way.

This weekend is the City Nature Challenge 2024! The City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife and nature in and around their cities, by using apps and platforms like iNaturalist. Together, we’ll learn a little bit more about this international challenge and how we can participate!

Things to note:

  • We’ll meet at the Jones Trailhead right off of Alma Bridge Rd.
  • Dogs are welcomed, but must be on leash.
  • Trail will be no longer than 3.2 miles and no more than 700 ft in elevation. We will likely do this loop.
  • We’ll provide snacks and a light lunch!
  • Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes, and plenty of water.
