DESCRIPTION:Join Latino Outdoors for a 2.5 mile walk along the beautiful riparian corridor of the Sutter National Wildlife Refuge\, located just 45 minutes north of Sacramento. Excellent opportunity for bird watching\, photography\, a little exercise\, and to simply get outdoors! Learn about the areas natural history on the guided walk with Outing Leader Eduardo Gonzalez. These trails are only accessible in the Spring from Feb 15 – June 30 lets get out and explore them before the end of the season. \n**Note Date Change** \nWhen: Sunday June 7\, 2015  9:00am – 12:oopm \nWhat to Bring: Comfortable shoes for walking\, Water \nDirections:  \nFrom Sacramento\, travel North on I-5. Keep right to continue on CA-99 N\, follow signs for Yuba City/Marysville. Continue straight to stay on CA-99 N (signs for Yuba City/Chico). Continue to Obanion Rd. Turn left on Obanion and continue for 5 miles. Right on Levee Rd for 0.5 miles. Cross small bridge on left to parking area. \nFrom Yuba City\, travel south on Highway 99 to Obanion Rd. DESCRIPTION:This outing is not led or sponsored by Latino Outdoors. But is is organized and sponsored by community partners Midpen and Anza National Historic Trail. Interpretive ranger Daniel Sanchez is a Latino Trailblazer\, part of the Latino Outdoors community\, sharing the stories of the diversity of the Latino identity in connection to our public lands and historic sites. \nFrom Midpen: \nYou’ll walk approximately 5-miles along various trails at this Preserve with docents Ed Lange and Kandis Scott\, and special guest Daniel Sanchez\, Interpretive Ranger for the Anza National Historic Trail-National Park Service to learn about the Anza Expedition of 1775. The history and intention of the expedition\, as well as local Native American culture\, and changes to the natural community will be explored. For more information on the Anza National Historic Trail visit www.anzahistorictrail.org. \nWhere to meet:\nThis Skyline Ridge Preserve activity will meet at the Russian Ridge Preserve parking lot located on the northwest corner of the Skyline Boulevard (Highway 35) and Page Mill/Alpine Road intersection (across Skyline Blvd. on the right).
